Alford Craft Market is a non-profit making organisation, run solely by volunteers. For over 35 years its aim has been to promote, encourage and foster the genuine arts and crafts of Alford and the surrounding area. Our main events are held on the May and August bank holidays where live music, entertainment and demonstrations play a big part. We also hold Easter and Christmas markets, as well as Tuesday and Friday markets from July to September. Various other external events are also attended by Alford Craft Market.
In an endeavour to retain the quality and originality of Alford Craft Market it is necessary for all applicants to submit samples of their work to the committee, prior to being accepted as members. This is a protection on behalf of all craft workers to exclude the possibility of mass produced and cheap imports. Samples will be viewed for originality and that they meet our minimum standards for quality. Below are the criteria that all new applicants must meet.
In the first instance photographs (one should be of your display) must be submitted with the application form. If it is deemed that closer inspection is required to ascertain any detail that photos cannot provide, the applicant will be contacted and invited to our next viewing session. Please complete the application form, enclose photos and post using the address below. Photographs can be emailed to the address below, please state file names on form.
If you have a website there is no need to send photographs, we will simply view your site.
