Make a Ghost Dance Shirt Sunday 17 September, 2017 10.30 – 1.30 with Joy Pitt
Suitable for adults & accompanied children. The ghost dance shirts were created by some of the First Nation tribes in the wars with the American settlers. They were very beautiful, and it was believed they had the power to protect the wearer from evil and bullets. Dyed T-shirts will be provided and you will cut them into fringes, then decorate them with beads and feathers, and create potato prints of the images they would have used. We then will print onto the T shirts with acrylic paint. The finished shirt is really special. All equipment and materials provided. Limited to 8 places.
