Castle scene and Rose Scene Canal Art Churn 10" x 7" diameter
Canal Art is also known as ‘Roses and Castles’. If you have ever walked a canal tow path you very may well have seen this style of art painted on the narrowboats that travel Britain’s waterways. Whilst commonly seen on boat doors and panels, this style of artwork is also painted on ancillary items such as water cans, jugs and pitchers and pots.
I paint in the traditional Canal Art style. Much of my work is on objects which are useful, not only on boats, but also around the home and garden. Whenever I can, I like to paint rescued items, giving them a new lease of life. Each piece is a “one-off” and no two are quite the same.
Please note that this item is hand painted using sign-writers enamel paints and, therefore, not suitable for use with food and drink. Clean item gently using a soft cloth and warm, soapy water. Pat dry with clean, soft cloth.
This metal hand painted Churn is ideal for flower displays, utensils, brushes etc.
10 inches high (25cm) with a 7 inch diameter (18cm) featuring a traditional Castle scene design on one side and a rose cluster on the other. Includes postage and packing UK only.
