Live online 2 hour class in Lino Cutting and printing with illustrator Sarah Bennett - choose from 25.4.2021 or 2.5.2021
In this live Zoom class you will learn how to cut a basic design into lino, and how to produce a print from the engraving. We will cover everything you need to know to make an art print, or greetings card, and also have fun along the way! No experience is necessary, and people of any age are welcome, however supervision may be needed with children as the tools we will be using are sharp.
Limited to 6 places on each date.
You will need to provide your own materials from the list provided below, but a suggested design will be emailed to you prior to the class to print out if you need it. If you would prefer to use your own design, it may be best to choose something fairly simple or similar to the example.
Students will need to provide:
-Cutting handle with blades
-One colour of water based relief printing ink
-One piece of lino for cutting, a small piece such as A6 size is ideal
-Ink roller tray
-Card to print on, something smooth and not too textured is best.
-A piece of tracing paper or baking paper
-A normal dessert sized spoon
Sarah is a local artist from Lincolnshire, and works as a printmaker and illustrator. After her degree in illustration, she moved on to starting her own business creating lino prints and cards with a vintage and historical feel.
