Abstract Landscape in Multi Media with Artist Jan Hill Sunday 24th October, 2021 10.30 - 3.30pm
This class will take place at the Alford Arts Gallery.
A chance to explore the possibilities of a wide range of art mediums, used separately or all together in rich layers of colour, tone and texture. Allowing paint to be loosely controlled as you build towards a finished piece will somehow convey the feeling of landscape, but with little if any tight detailing: Light, form, atmosphere. With a few ‘starter’ demonstrations and suggestions you will be given a great amount of technical know-how, and advice on how to proceed through the process until your painting declares itself to be complete.
The optional equipment pack for the day will be £12pp to allow for the greatest range possible of mediums and heavyweight card/paper, a ‘support’ for your painting, brushes, palette or plates, pastels, crayons, watercolours, inks, wax fir resist, texturing mediums, hand cleaning cloths. Or you can bring your own equipment.
Please bring an old shirt to protect your clothes! Tea, coffee and biscuits supplied - please bring a packed lunch.
