Drawing with Expression with artist Jan Hill on Sunday 17th October, 2021
This class will take place at the Alford Arts Gallery.
Finding the freedom to describe a subject matter with lttle concern for neatness or control! Letting expansive gestures and pencil marks convey quickly, not only your feelings for the lines, tones and texture of your drawing, but most importantly your individual ‘handwriting’ and personality made visual upon the paper. Producing many different drawings in the course of the day, on varied papers and a selection of drawing mediums, you will be given constant help and individual demo’s on any areas of ‘struggle’.
There is an optional equipment pack for the day at an extra cost of £7pp (you can bring your own supplies if you would like to) will contain A2 and A3 size cartridge paper, coloured and toned pastel papers, varied grades of graphite, pencils, charcoal and chalks for full tonal 3D depths. Photographic and sill life subject matter, hand cleaning cloths and towels.
Tea, coffee and biscuits supplied - please bring a packed lunch.
About Jan Hill
B.A. Hons, RSA Jan Hill has been a working professional artist since the age of 21, and covers a wide scope of know-how in her varied career as a designer, illustrator, commissioned water colourist, abstract 'explorer', and fully qualified art tutor for 40 years. She brings a fun, lighthearted aspect to her subjects, but backs it up with much sound knowledge of art.
