Invited by Alford Craft Market one of Lincolnshire's most famous female folk singers Vikki Clayton is coming to play for us at Alford Corn Exchange on Saturday May 9th, 2026 7.30 - 10pm.
Vikki Clayton, well known for her work with Fairport Convention, first came to prominence when she was a member of cult folk band “ Ragged Heroes.”
The band played many times in the marquee at the Alford August Bank Holiday Weekend Craft Market at Alford Manor House - always a favourite.
After departing that iconic folk band she went on to forge a hugely successful solo career to date she has released eight critically acclaimed albums one of the most popular being “ It Suits Me Well - The Songs Of Sandy Denny” that album features the classic song “ Who Knows Where The Time Goes .” I think it’s safe to say” Nobody Does Sandy Denny Better Than Vikki Clayton “ She is an amazing songwriter and performer and is loved revered and respected by folk music fans all over the UK indeed by folk music fans all over the world.
Vikki currently lives in New Zealand and this concert is part of her 2026 UK tour.
