Alford Craft Market - established in 1974

ALFORD POTTERY
Welcome to one of the longest standing craft markets in the UK, the first of it's kind in the Lincolnshire Wolds.
The market was established in 1974 by two craftspeople Heather & Michel Ducos of Alford Pottery, still in activity today. They both had a long term vision and a love for their town. Proud of their craft, they wished to create a venue where Lincolnshire craftsmen, makers and artists could gather and sell their work offering the public something different, handmade with love and dedication in a variety of disciplines: ceramic, wood, iron, glass, textile etc. Alford Craft Market always encompassed the arts as a whole. Music, theatre and specialist makers have been encouraged to join and display their skill. The organisation entirely relies on the goodwill of volunteers to make things happen for the benefit of all.
Heather and Michel are both Presidents of the organisation and a committee has been established to continue the good work of previous committees and maintain the tradition now established in Alford of good craftsmanship.
Alford Craft Market offers various events throughout the year from Easter to Christmas. Please check our Events page for further details.
If you are interested in becoming a stallholder at any of our events please check the Stallholder Applications page . We are always looking for new artists, craftsmen and women and new things to offer. Please get in touch.
